OUR JOURNEY
A Growing Global Journey
01 — RICHMOND HILL, CANADA
WHERE OUR STORY BEGAN
Richmond Hill
Richmond Hill, located in the Greater Toronto Area, is a diverse and growing Canadian city known for its strong communities, connectivity and proximity to one of North America’s largest economic regions. Richmond Hill became the first-ever Frontrunner City of the Urban Economy Forum. It is where the Frontrunner Cities journey began — and where our story started.
02 — LOWELL, USA
BUILDING THE NEXT CHAPTER
Lowell
Lowell, Massachusetts, is a city with a remarkable history of innovation and transformation. Once one of America’s most important industrial centers, today Lowell combines its industrial heritage, diverse communities, universities and innovation potential with a new vision for its future. As the next Frontrunner City in our journey, Lowell represents an exciting opportunity for urban transformation. Together with the city and our partners, we have big plans for what comes next.
03 — RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE
EXPANDING TO THE MIDDLE EAST
Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, combining a rapidly developing economy with distinctive mountains, coastline, tourism, industry and an increasingly international investment environment. As the first UEF Frontrunner City in the Middle East, Ras Al Khaimah marks an important new chapter in the global expansion of the Frontrunner Cities program. Through SCUT’s engagement, the ambition is to support the emirate’s long-term transformation and translate strategic vision into coordinated, executable initiatives with lasting economic, social and urban impact.
